The objective of the project was to ensure an efficient service delivery mechanism in coordination with the line departments. Data capturing has been decentralized deploying an user-friendly web based application (http://egram.raj.nic.in ) to get the village wise amenities and monthly status of these amenities directly from the grass root level. Local language support has been deployed to overcome any lingua centric constraint.
Citizens are very closely associated in the process of information collation; as the monthly report is being prepared on 5th day of every month. One this day, Gram Sabha meeting is scheduled for every Gram Panchayat, which is participated by PRI representatives and government functionaries working at village level. ?Gram Prabhari? also visits the village habitats and gather their feedback on the status of service delivery. In this way, the input comes directly from the grass root.
The state level monthly review is chaired by the Chief Secretary himself, participated by the sector heads at State level. Reviews are being organized using NIC?s Video Conferencing facilities available in Districts. This is attended by District Collectors and District Level Officers at remote ends.
