End to End Computerization of Consumer Affairs & Public Distribution Department J&K
DescriptionNIC J&K has started computerisation of CAPD J&K under the guidlines Hon'ble Supreme Court. The project has been divided into four components viz Supply Chain Management, Ration card Management, Fair Price Shop Automation & Grievance Redressal - Citizen Interface. NIC has developed Common Application Software (CAS) covering all components and is being implemented in J&K with the technical support of NIC J&K. In first Phase, Supply Chain Management and Ration Card Digitization is to be carried out. Following activities were performed: 1.Initially, NIC J&K imparted General Computer Awareness training to CAPD Officials for handling the computer system. 2.NIC provided the software to CAPD J&K for capturing the master data for Supply Chain Management. 3.Master data was captured online at Directorate level in Jammu Division and through NIC District Centers in Kashmir Division. 4.Verification/authentication of Master data was done by the respective directorates of both regions of J&K. 5.Various relevant Reports were made available in the web portal of CAPD J&K (jkcapd.nic.in). 6.NIC J&K Imparted 6 days training to CAPD Officials on Allocation Order Generation Module (FEAST). 7.Provided Customized Offline software of ERCMS (Existing Ration Card Management System) to the Vendors selected for Digitization of Ration Card data. 8.Initial training imparted to vendors for installation and other operational activities of Offline ERCMS software. 9.Providing support to the vendors for solving their day to day problems occurring while punching the Ration Card data.
