Government Receipt Accounting System
Objective : To receive all the payments to Government of Puducherry through electronically by a online system called Government Receipts Accounting system (GRAS).
Description of project : GRAS-Government Receipts Accounting System to receive the payment through E-payment is a mode of payment in addition to the conventional methods of payment offered by the Government of Puducherry. The acceptance of on-line payment of Puducherry States Taxes and Non-Taxes through the internet portals of various banks have been customized from the National model under Treasury Mission Mode Project, without having any implication on the existing procedure of the executive and accounting agencies of the Department. To avail of this facility the taxpayer is required to have a net-banking account with any of the banks listed by the government on this site.
Facility of Payment Across the Bank Counter is made available (with limited Banks) for those who do not have net banking account with Bank participating in GRAS.

Outcome or Impact :
1. This is a 24X7 facility and citizen can make payment at any time of the day.
2. Online Filling of Single challan form facilitates minimum fields of the challan to be filled.
3. Instant online receipts for payment made and instant online bank transaction number is made available.
