Implementation of NADRS in J&K
DescriptionThe National Animal Disease Reporting System (NADRS) is a new Centrally Sponsored Scheme being implemented by Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying & Fisheries (DADF) during 2010-11 through National Informatics Centre. The NADRS will involve a computerized network, integrating both MIS and GIS, which would link each block, district and the State/UT headquarters in the country to the Central Disease Reporting & Monitoring Unit (CDRMU) in the DADF at New Delhi. All the notified diseases scheduled in the Prevention and Control of Infectious & Contagious Diseases in Animals Act 2009’ will be included in this reporting system. In J&K State there are 158 NADRS Nodes (1 State Level, 2 Divisional Level, 22 District Level and 133 Block Level Nodes).
