PVATSoft - Puducherry Value Added Tax System application




PVATSoft application software is to addresses all the core functional areas of the VAT administration by the Commercial Taxes Department, UT of Puducherry. It is a web enabled work flow based system. The functional areas covered under this application are Registration processing, Renewal of registration, Return filing, Collections of taxes through e-payment, Manual tax collection, Tax payer ledger, Issuing and submission of online Statutory Forms, Assessment based on audit point generation, MIS Reports, Generating notice to the defaulters, SMS alert, Arrears and Recoveries, Advance tax collection for two wheeler / four wheeler.

Registered dealer of UT of Puducherry can avail the following online services using their login credentials.

Renewal of the Registration
Filing of Monthly Returns
Online issuance, Submission and Cancellation of various statutory forms
Amendments like name, commodity etc.,
Online verification of Statutory forms, TIN, Dealers etc.,
Uploading of various Annexure
Provision for paying of Advance Tax for two/four wheelers

Implementation Status :

The PVATSoft has been implemented from July 2007 onwards. The online services started from 1st April 2010 onwards.

Continuous monitoring and taking necessary efforts reflect increase in revenue collection and reduce tax evasion.
