The web site (http://rajassembly.nic.in) provides list of business, question list (starred and unstarred) and debates for each day of the session. Public Representative Information System maintains details of all the public representatives so far in the state since creation of Rajasthan (in 1952) and positions/ministries held by them. Motions monitoring system is used to monitor the status of motions moved in the house for discussions. IT based systems have been developed and implemented for major activities in Rajasthan Legislative Assembly. These include Questions Monitoring system and Reporting Information System, in addition to others.
The Question Monitoring System is being used in the Questions Branch for receiving questions from any member. Entire process of approval of questions by Hon?ble Speaker and subsequent listing is facilitated by this system. Temporary and final list is prepared thourgh the system. Letters to hon?ble members as well as for departments are generated at different stages. Appropriate interface has also been provided on the web site of Rajasthan Assembly where daily question lists are made available. A huge database has been created of all the assembly questions, since 1994.
The Reporting Information System implemented in the Editing Branch is a Client-Server application. To implement the system, computers have been provided to all the reporters and the editors . These have been connected to the server through the LAN for the Editing branch. Every reporter prepares his part of the debate using the system. Consolidated Report of proceedings is prepared by the Editor using the software. This has been a very significant achievement, as Rajasthan Assembly is among the first three assemblies throughout the country which have implemented the system. As further extension of the system, unedited version of daily proceedings is made available on the web site of Assembly (http://rajassembly.nic.in). The system was inaugurated in the house by H.E. the Governor of Rajasthan, in the presence of Hon?ble Speaker, Hon?ble Chief Minister and other members. Hindi has been used as the interface language for the user. In addition, A system has been implemented to maintain details of all press clippings of leading national and local newspapers. A system has also been developed to provide information regarding government & private bills.
