NIC, Tamilnadu State Centre has implemented a myriad number of e-governance projects cutting across many Departments of the Tamilnadu State Government. Some of the successful projects rolled out in the state are e-District Scholarship system, e-District Social welfare, e-District Revenue, Online VAT registration for Commercial Taxes Department, ePension for Dir of Treasuries and Accounts, PICME, Dr. Muthulaksmi Reddy Maternity Benefit Scheme for Directorate of Public Heath, e-Services for Transport, online filing and e-Payment for Commercial Taxes Department, Scheme monitoring System for Rural Development Department, Treasury Computerisation, CCTNS project for the Tamilnadu Police, Online Allotment for PDS, Pre-Examination Monitoring System for Anna University  etc.

NIC, TNSC has also been involved in the design, development and Pan-India rollout of e-Procurement project and MOMA (Scholarship for Minorities Welfare) etc. 

National Knowledge Network (NKN) connectivity is established at State HQ, 80+ institutions and all the districts. All the Districts have 34 Mbps connectivity and 9 districts have 100 mbps connectivity. Four Districts have 1 Gbps connectivity through NKN , Three more districts would have 1 Gbps connectivity by 31.3.2013.

NIC Data Centre has 55 servers with a total capacity of 21 TB SAN space with an online tape library. Video Conferencing facility has been provided to the State headquarters and to all the Districts and is being extensively used by the State & Central Government Departments in the State.
