Dr Neeta Verma, Director General, NIC visited Tamil Nadu on 24- 25 February 2020 along with a team of senior officials of NIC, Dr Savita Dawar, DDG, Shri Pawan Joshi, DDG & Shri Mohandas V S, STD.

DG NIC reviewed major projects under development at NIC Tamil Nadu. A demo of e-Auction portal was made and she advised that e-Auction should be developed as a separate product and given to all the State Governments for implementation.

On 25 February 2020, DG & team met Shri S.K Prabakar, IAS, Home Secretary & Additional Chief Secretary to Government of Tamil Nadu to discuss the new initiatives to be undertaken in the State. She also requested Home Secretary to send a team of officers to study the automated capturing of Signal violations and issuing eChallan.
