NIC has developed Paper Import Monitoring System (PIMS) for the Department for Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade (DPIIT), GoI. The system collects detailed information on imports of paper, which will aid in the analysis of trade data and facilitate policy formulation. Now, Paper importers have to submit advance information of import of items. No manual documents are to be submitted to any public authority for this purpose.
