NIC Officers in J&K UT & Uttarakhand were felicitated on occasion of 10th National Voters Day (on January 25, 2020) celebrations in respective States, for significant contributions in the election process. NIC State/UT Centre and district centers play a major role on regular basis in the election process. NIC provides technical support and handholding to the District Administration in the electoral process at various levels viz. Panchayat, Block, Parliamentary elections etc.

For Best Electoral Practices and for taking special IT initiatives in the State during Lok Sabha Elections 2019, Sh A K Dadhichi, Sr Technical Director, Sh A K Arya, Sr Technical Director and Sh Manish Jugran, Technical Director, Officers of NIC Uttarakhand, were felicitated with State Award by Hon’ble Governor of Uttarakhand at Rajbhawan, Dehradun. During Lok Sabha Elections 2019 as a new IT initiative, for first time in Uttarakhand, movement of Poll Personnel could be tracked by a Mobile GPS based Vehicles Locations Tracking System developed by NIC Uttarakhand.

Shri Sanjeev Kapoor, District Informatics Officer (DIO), Samba was conferred with an award and certificate for his contribution towards exemplary work (IT enabled services) in District Administration Samba by Shri Rohit Khajuria, Deputy Commissioner, Samba, J&K UT. Shri Sourabh Bhandari, DIO, NIC Kathua was honored with a memento for exemplary services rendered during Municipal Elections, Panchayat Elections, Parliamentary election in Kathua, by Shri O.P.Bhagat, Deputy Commissioner, Kathua, J&K UT.
