Hon’ble Minister for Health & Family Welfare, Government of Telangana, Sri. Etela Rajender launched NIC developed Mobile App ‘Jeevandan’ on 10th December 2019 at Ravindra Bharathi Auditorium, in Hyderabad.
‘Jeevandan’ app is an effective and secure platform for management of Cadaver Organ, Harvesting, allocation & Transplantation in a transparent way. The application software is designed and developed by NIC-Telangana State team.

Hon’ble Governor, Uttar Pradesh Smt. Anandiben Patel launched NIC developed portal ‘U.P. Sainik Punarwas Nidhi’, on 7th December 2019 commemorating the Army Flag Day. The portal provides information on various schemes run by the Sainik Punarwas Nidhi for Ex-Servicemen and their families, and enables them to apply for these schemes online.
The complete backend process has been automated and SMS services have been integrated at each action point to keep the applicant status of his/ her application. Application trail along with action taken by different authorities is also displayed at all levels to infuse transparency in the system. The families of Ex-servicemen will now find it much easier to avail the benefits of the schemes being run by the Sainik Punarwas Nidhi, Lucknow.

Dr. Neeta Verma, DG, NIC in her address at Elets Annual Healthcare Innovation Summit 2019, highlighted the role of technology in the healthcare sector and spoke about NIC’s eHospital system that ensures efficient delivery of health services in more than 300 hospitals across the country. The event was held at the Hyatt Regency, Delhi on 10-11 December 2019.
NIC developed e-Hospital is an open source health information management system (HMIS), which is configurable and easily customizable with multi-tenancy support. It is designed to deploy in cloud infrastructure to manage multiple hospitals seamlessly and connects patients, doctors and hospitals on a single digital platform.

NIC developed portal for Jan Shikshan Sansthan (JSS) Scheme, an initiative of Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE), awarded with IDC Insights Awards 2019, in Delhi. The scheme provides skill development training & linkages with livelihood opportunities for the underprivileged youths of marginalized sections of the society. The training is provided in non-formal sector to rural and urban slums with academic and technical support to its target group. The vocational courses help youths to earn livelihood either by getting employed or by starting their own enterprise.

The President of India launched NIC developed Web-Portal of “National Youth Parliament Scheme” in the august presence of the Vice President, Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu, the Speaker Lok Sabha, Shri Om Birla, the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi and the Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Shri Pralhad Joshi during the special session of Parliament to commemorate 70th Constitution Day, in New Delhi on November 26, 2019.
The web-portal of National Youth Parliament Scheme is available at www.nyps.mpa.gov.in. The main objective of the portal is to increase the outreach of the youth parliament programme of the Ministry to hitherto untouched sections and corners of the country.
The salient features of the portal:-
• All recognised educational institutions of the country are eligible to participate in this programme.
• E-training modules, videos, photographs and scripts are available on the portal for online self-learning of the participants.
• Each student taking part in the sitting will get a Digital ‘Certificate of Participation’ and each Teacher-in-charge and Head of Institution will get a ‘Certificate of Appreciation’ through the web portal.

Shri Bhupesh Baghel, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh inaugurated ‘CG AWAAS’, a Single Window System developed by NIC for approval of residential colonies. The inaugural event was held in Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly on 25th November 2019. Hon’ble Housing Minister Md. Akbar, Shri Gaurav Dwivedi, Principal Secretary, IT, Ms. Sangeetha P, Secretary, Housing and Environment, Mr. Dilip, Kumar Debnath, SIO, Mr. P. Rama Rao, Senior Technical Director and Mr. Rishi K. Rai, Scientist-B, NIC Chhattisgarh and officials of other departments were present at the event.
The work flow of Online Single Window Colonizer Approval of Residential Colonies is hosted on the generic Service Plus platform under the guidance of Shri D.C. Misra, DDG, Ms. Manie Khaneja, STD and Shri Adesh Gupta, TD and Service Plus team. This single window system will enable issue of Land Diversion Certificates, Approved Documents and Permission for Colony Development within limited time-frame.
It will make the entire process of getting approval for residential colonies simple, easily accessible and transparent. All the documents can be submitted online through the single window, after which development permission will be issued within 100-140 days. The concerned departments will also issue No Objection Certificates from this single window system. Applicants will be able to track the status of their application online and get alerts through SMS.

Vumlunmang IAS and Scientist F & SIO Manipur, Shri Kh. Rajen Singh.
The eOffice Suite is a digital workspace solution for government offices that paves the way for making both inter & intra government processes paperless.
Health & Family welfare department, Manipur is the first Department in the state to implement eOffice. Hon’ble Minister encouraged the officials & staff to use eOffice to deliver good public services. This digital initiative will curb various issues related to manual file processing.

Hon’ble Deputy CM, Minister of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Govt. of Bihar, Shri Sushil Kumar Modi launched an integrated Mobile App named VanApp on 23rd November 2019.
This integrated mobile application is developed by National Informatics Centre for Department of Environment, Forest & Climate Change in the State.
A number of Mobile Apps implemented for monitoring and management of departmental activities viz. ePlantations, eNursery, eForestry, eMandi, eWildLife, eForestOffence, Human Resource Management System etc. for Plantations, Nurseries, Distribution of plants and open platforms for buying & selling of produce, Wildlife, Forest Offence and Human Resource Management System respectively.
‘VanApp’ is developed to eliminate the difficulties of managing & monitoring these activities through different apps. It provides an integrated platform for monitoring departmental activities and provides MIS & spatial data/reports using integrated Web & GIS technologies.

Hon’ble Minister of State Human Resource Development, Communications and Electronics & Information Technology Shri Sanjay Dhotre launched the integrated ‘ShalaDarpan’ portal for Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti. This e-Governance school automation & management system is developed by National Informatics Centre.
This is a single integrated platform developed for sharing information/knowledge for the 22000 employees and over 2 lakh students across schools and offices of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti. ShalaDarpan is implemented as the first major initiative to enable automation of all activities of the country’s largest residential schooling system through a single umbrella – 636 schools, 8 Regional Offices, 8 NLIs and the Head Quarter.
Commissioner of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, Shri Bishwajit Kumar Singh and Executive Director of C-DAC Shri Vivek Khaneja was also present on the occasion.

Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam inaugurated NIC developed e-commerce portal ‘GoalMart’ which aims to promote local products of Goalpara district in the global online market, attract investments and create job opportunities to boost economic development in Assam.
The e-commerce portal with multidimensional features will boost the expansion of Goalpara’s rural business by providing an opportunity for rural brands to flourish through the virtual store. It will provide access to the global market and thereby create job opportunities for small-time
craftsmen, women, etc.
MLAs, Deputy Commissioner and other dignitaries of Goalpara district were also present at the event. The Portal is developed using open-source technologies by NIC, Goalpara District Team with constant guidance from the SIO & ASIO, NIC Assam.

The website is designed, developed and hosted by National Informatics Centre, Andhra Pradesh State Centre, Vijayawada. The website is built using Responsive Design and adheres to GIGW guidelines. Some of the salient features of the website include, complete list of programs, schemes, eligibility criteria for various schemes, upcoming events, photographs of various youth welfare programs conducted, contact details of state and district level officers, important announcements, trainings and so on.

The 6th edition of ‘Data Centre India 2019 – International Conference’ was held on 20th November 2019 at Hotel Shangri-La, New Delhi.

National Informatics Centre is the technology partner to Ministry of Home Affairs, for design, development and implementation of online registration portal (https://prakashpurb550.mha.gov.in/), network setup at Integrated Check Post (ICP) and Immigration clearance system for the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor project.
The NIC-IVFRT team developed online registration portal for the pilgrims was launched on October 24 2019, wherein pilgrims can register themselves online and exercise the choice to travel on any day. After successful registration, pilgrims will be informed by SMS and email for the confirmation of registration.
Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Integrated Check Post on November 9, 2019 and flagged off first batch of pilgrims at Kartarpur Sahib Corridor in Gurdaspur, Punjab. He took a guided tour of the Passenger Terminal setup prior to the inauguration of Kartarpur Corridor.
The project has been implemented by NIC in a record time and within the deadline of inauguration by Hon’ble Prime Minister. The entire network infrastructure and immigration control system at Dera Baba Nanak ICP has been setup with operationalisation of 56 Immigration counters. A total of 562 pilgrims were part of the first ‘jatha’ who visited Gurdwara Darbar Sahib on the first day of the pilgrimage. Commissioner, Bureau of Immigration appreciated the team for successful delivery of the project.

The Ration Card Management System, developed by NIC Kerala was awarded the Government of Kerala ‘Award of Recognition’ by Shri. Thilothaman P, Hon’ble Minister for Food and Civil Supplies, Government of Kerala, on 02nd November 2019 at Ernakulam, Kerala.
The Ration Card Management System is one of the five major components of end-to-end computerization of the Public Distribution System. The digitization of beneficiary data in the State was completed in 2016 and presently, there are approximately 86 lakh ration cards. The ration cards were categorized into four types using the Ranking software, which was developed and implemented by NIC Kerala.

Shri Iqbal Hasan, SIO Delhi State Unit was conferred an award, at International Conference on Educational Reforms and Good Governance in Delhi, for NIC’s contribution in e-Governance initiatives . The conference was organized by International Organization for Education Development (IOED) on 18th October 2019 at India International Centre New Delhi.
IOED is a specialized, internationally accredited Permanent Diplomatic Mission which is duly recognized and approved by the Cabinet Secretariat, Government of India. It has a special extraterritorial status like the United Nations and its agencies. The IOED has been working on the Diplomatic Relations with Sovereign Nations, Educational Development (Research and Training), Cultural Relationships and Economic Cooperation.

Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, Union Minister for Panchayati Raj, Rural Development & Agriculture launched ‘Gram Manchitra’ at National Panchayat Awards 2019 in New Delhi. Gram Manchitra is a Spatial Planning Application developed by the National Informatics Centre (NIC). The application based on NIC’s Multilayer GIS platform Bharatmaps, is a Geo Spatial based decision support system for the panchayats. The panchayats can utilize this application to plan, develop and monitor developmental activities on real time basis.

A 2-days National Scholarship Portal workshop for NIC State Coordinators was organized at NIC Hqrs. on 21st-22nd October 2019. The workshop had participation of NIC officials from 26 States & 6 UTs. Dr. Neeta Verma, DG, NIC, addressed the officials by acknowledging their contributions for the scholarship portal and conveying the future roadmap for scholarship ecosystem throughout the country.
Shri S.B. Singh, HoG & DDG, NIC also emphasized that this is a good opportunity for NIC and its officials to serve the bottom of the pyramid and shape the future of the country. The easy availability of scholarships would also lead to increase in literacy rate of the country. The workshop included Sessions by NIC officials – Smt. Suman Gera on Aadhaar related services, Shri Saba Akhtar on UDISE+ and Smt. Sandhya Rani on AISHE.

The online leave module of Manav Sampada-the Human Resource Management Solution (HRMS), a product of NIC was launched by Deputy Commissioner, Keerthi Jalli in Hailakandi District of Assam on 16.10.2019.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Sri. Omar Sherif will look after leave related matters of the Circle Officers and their respective offices. The employee will need to apply for leaves online using Manav Sampada Mobile app or website which will directed to the reporting officer for approval. Each employee has been allotted a log in ID and password. Training cum demonstration has been given to the employees for online submission of leave application.

Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh is set to implement the eOffice (Lite) in all its associated offices. A 3 days’ workshop cum training programme (from 23rd-25th September 2019) was organized at AKTU campus for capacity building of its officers/staff by NIC eOffice Team. More than 150 officers and employees participated in the training program. A hands-on training on eOffice modules was also organized for the trainees.
NIC UP team has created the e-Office instance for 120 users. The project is being implemented in the university by Mr. A. P. Singh, Scientist-F and ASIO, Mr. Iftekhar Ahmed, Scientist-E, Mr. Parwaiz Islam Scientist-E and team.
Professor Vinay Kumar Pathak, Vice Chancellor of the University has directed his staff to discontinue physical files and start sending only e-Files from 1st October 2019. Instructions were also given to convert all the physical files to electronic files by November 2019.

5th e-Government Procurement Conference of the Asia Pacific Public Electronic Procurement Network held at ADB Headquarters, Manila, Philippines on 1-2 October 2019 . The focus of the conference was on Emerging Electronic Government Procurement (e-GP) Technologies and Innovation, and Regional Trends and Country Systems Experiences.
Asian Development Bank (ADB) invited NIC to share their experience on the widespread implementation of Government eProcurement and deliver a lecture on ‘Integrating Installations in a National System: The GePNIC Experience’.
As NIC eGP system has wide spread implementation across the country, the participants were very keen to discuss and learn from NIC’s success as well as the challenges faced in this area, specifically those countries that are trying to similarly integrate eGP sub-systems.

Shri Pige Ligu, Deputy Commissioner, Papum Pare District launched the e-Services portal (http://eservice.arunachal.gov.in/) of Government of Arunachal Pradesh, in the presence of all the administrative officers of the District headquarter on 1st October 2019.
The Deputy Commissioner in his address mentioned that the portal would make it convenient for an applicant to apply for government services anytime and anywhere, and maintain the authenticity of the issued document(s). He praised NIC Yupia for providing support to District Administration for implementing e-Services portal, which has been developed using the ServicePlus framework of NIC, in the district.
Henceforth, all the services such as Schedule Tribe, Permanent Residential Certificate, Character Certificate, Income Certificate, Dependent Certificate etc. which are available in the portal shall be issued online only.

Hon’ble MoS, Home Affairs Shri. G. Kishan Reddy launched the Unified Portal for Licensing of Eating / Lodging Establishments in Delhi on 01/10/2019 in the august presence of the Chief Secretary Delhi State, Commissioner of Police, Delhi and Additional Secretary (UT), MHA and DG(NIC).
The Unified Portal is a single window system for applying license for eating or lodging establishments in Delhi. The application so submitted can be processed by all agencies (Delhi Police, MCDs/NDMC, Fire, Delhi Pollution Control Board etc.,) individually and simultaneously. This application has the provision for inter-dialogue box for faster processing. The licenses/NOC issued by all agencies can be downloaded from the portal.
Addressing the gathering, Minister of States (Home) Shri Reddy said, “This single window clearance system has been developed under Digital India programme to facilitate people to obtain licenses to open their eatery/lodging businesses in Delhi. This would be an integrated, transparent and seamless system for providing licenses on a time bound manner. Such a people-friendly system would prevent corruption and increase compliance with rules and regulations by all stakeholders”.
The Unified Portal aims at simplifying and rationalizing the regulatory processes (registration & inspection), infusion of transparency and avoids procedural delays in getting statutory clearances from various authorities and real time receipt of application by all agencies simultaneously.

NIC officers from across the country participated in the event through Video Conferencing and spoke on the ‘Relevance of Mahatma Gandhi’s thoughts & teachings in Modern Era’. Agriculture Informatics Division of NIC has developed a multi-lingual Mobile App for Custom Hiring Centres for hiring of farm machineries by the farmers – CHC Farm Machinery App for Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. This app connects the farmers with Custom Hiring Service Centres in their area to provide Agricultural Machinery on rental basis to the Farmers, especially small & marginal farmers who cannot afford to buy the high value machinery & equipments.
The App was launched by Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, Hon’ble Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare on 24 September 2019 at New Delhi. “Farmers will now have easy access to high value and technical agricultural equipment’s at their doorstep” said the Minister while launching the ‘CHC Farm Machinery’ Mobile App.
The App is already available to custom service providers for registration and uploading with georeference photographs of agricultural machinery custom service centers and photographs of machinery and for registration of farmers. As data is captured through geotagging, the farmer can locate the nearest custom hiring center located in his vicinity between 5-50 km. The app can be downloaded on any android phone from Google Play Store.

Hon’ble Home Minister of India, Shri. Amit Shah, Launched the Private Security Agency Licensing Portal on 24th September 2019 where all security agencies can apply for new /renew Private Security Agency license to run their businesses, required under the Private Security Agencies Regulation Act 2005. The occasion was also graced by Minister of State for Home Affairs, Shri G. Kishan Reddy, Home Secretary , Shri Ajay Kumar Bhalla, Director General, NIC, Dr. Neeta Verma and Additional Secretary Home, Police Modernisation, Sh. Vivek Bharadwaj.
This portal makes license application and renewal process completely paperless. There is no need by the security agency directors and owners to visit the offices of the Controlling Authorities for submissions/ follow ups of their application for grant/renewal of their PSARA license. Security Company can apply online for a license in any State of India from any part of India. The agencies will be able to deposit license related fees online through the payment gateway.

DMS is a work flow based application software, which facilitates allotment of budget to various Veterinary Institutions, submission of Indent by Veterinary Institutions across the state, verification by District officers, sanctions and approvals, drug utilization and various analytical reports and dashboards at various levels.

A lecture on ‘Social Harmony’ was delivered by Shri Dipankar Shri Gyan, Director, Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti, Ministry of Culture, Government of India, on 26.09.2019 at NIC Hqrs., New Delhi. It was organized in continuation of events for the Commemoration of 150th Birth Anniversary, launched by DG NIC in July this year. The event was broadcast over NIC Video Conferencing services and was attended by officers up to District level. It was also available through NIC webcast services.
In his lecture, Shri Dipankar Shri Gyan talked about communal harmony and said that it does not mean harmony between two religions. He spoke briefly on Gandhi Ji’s thoughts on communal harmony. He explained, Gandhi Ji believed that all countrymen are children of one mother, however they can be diversified on different factors such as religion, economic conditions, political commitments, cast or color etc., These separate thought process gives birth to three negativities, i.e., Fear, Suspicion and Hatred, and these things work against the communal harmony.
Gandhi Ji started his first experiment on communal harmony in South Africa, where he worked on uniting religions of Indian community and bringing them together to fight against racial discrimination, which was a common practice there. Shri Gyan further talked about Gandhi Ji’s deep understanding of all religions, where he identified that the basis of all religions is only one thing, which is ‘Truth’. Shri Gyan further highlighted different incidents of Gandhi Ji’s life and his different ways of bring communal harmony in the Indian society through various movements including Champaran, first movement where he brought together women as well.
The event was concluded with vote of thanks by DDG NIC Shri Inder Pal Singh Sethi.

Hon’ble Chief Minister of Manipur Shri N Biren Singh launched NGDRS (National Generic Document Registration System) on 16-09-2019 for Sub Registrar Office, Porompat, Imphal East. The function was held at Panchayat Bhawan, DC Office, Porompat, making it the second SRO of Manipur to implement NGDRS application for property registration.

Shri. Nilesh Cabaral Minister of Power, Environment, Non-Conventional Sources of Energy and Law & Judiciary, Govt. of Goa, inaugurated the ‘Goa Bio-Diversity Portal- BIOMIS System’, which consist of e-ABS (Access Benefit Sharing) and e-PBR (People Biodiversity Registers) functionalities, developed by NIC Kerala and implemented by NIC Goa. The function was presided by Dr. Pradeep Sarmokadam, Member Secretary, Goa Bio Diversity Board and attended by all Scientists and Experts from Bio-Diversity Board.
e-ABS is a work flow based system for obtaining approval for access to bio resources for commercial utilization by Indian citizens. e-PBR is a unique repository of information on Goa’s biodiversity. The BIOMIS Portal aims to facilitate and enable widespread participation by all citizens in contributing and accessing information on biodiversity, that benefits science and society, contributes to sustainable future and guide the development and use of this Portal. It is web enabled work flow based system which facilitates citizen to collect (decentralized), disseminate biodiversity data and generate PBR electronically.

Sri Naba Kisore Das, Hon’ble Minister, Health & Family Welfare, Odisha launched the Online Clinical Establishment Management System, developed by National Informatics Centre, Bhubaneswar on 7th September 2019, in presence of Dr. P.K. Meherda, IAS, Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Health & Family Welfare Department.
Interacting with Media, Honorable Minister appreciated the effort taken by NIC team. The application developed by National Informatics Centre, Bhubaneswar under the guidance of Dr. Umakanta Satpathy, Joint Director, DMET led by technical members of NIC, Ms. Nirupama Mohapatra, STD and Sri Bivas Roy, STD is hosted in National Data Centre, Bhubaneswar. The application has been developed using Open Source Technology stack such as PHP (CakePHP Framework) and MySQL as database.
The main objective of this application is to bring transparency and resolve issues related to delay in issuance of necessary clearances for obtaining registration in the Clinical Establishment System. Nearly 1800 private hospitals and clinics will be benefited through this new system as they can able to apply and obtain No Objection Certificates (NOC) and other renewals without much hassle.
The dignitaries present on the occasion include Dr. Dillip Kumar Sarangi, Director, Health Services, Prof. Sonamali Bag, Director, Medical Education & Training, Dr. Sushil Kumar Kar, Director, Nursing and other senior officers of the Department along with NIC officers Dr. A. Ms. Rama Hariharan, Sr. TD, NIC and Ms. Seema Khanna, Sr. TD, NIC Hqrs also gave presentations on Analytics and Parichay – Single sign on respectively.
Presentations were also made by Secretaries In charge from the departments of Labour, Technical Education, Food, Tribal welfare, School Education and Social welfare on the challenges faced by them in implementing the DBT/PFMS. Ideas were explored for a plan of creating a social registry and data exchange platform.

A unique system for Geo-Tagging of houses, constructed under the Prime Minister Awas Yojana- Gramin (PMAY-G), was launched in Lakhimpur, Assam. The system has been implemented for the first time for the PMAY-G programme in India.
Minister of Panchayat and Rural Development, Assam; Shri Naba Kumar Doley inaugurated the PMAY-G OBD (Out Bound Dialer) system in a ceremonial program organized at Lakhimpur District Library Auditorium under the aegis of Lakhimpur District Rural Development Agency (DRDA), on September 12, 2019.
The concept of the system was coined by Deputy Commissioner of Lakhimpur Dr. Jeevan B, who graced the event along with Shri Pradip Doley, Chief Executive Officer, Lakhimpur Zila Parishad and Shri Narendra Kumar Paw, Project Director, DRDA, Lakhimpur.

Hon’ble Prime Minister Sh. Narender Modi inaugurated Ayush Health and Wellness Centers (10 nos) in Haryana under Ayushman Bharat Yojna from Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi on 30/08/2019, using NIC Video Conferencing Services. A State level function was organized at Hotel Red Bishop, Panchkula (Haryana).
Hon’ble Chief Minister Haryana Sh. Manohar Lal thanked the Prime Minister for the inauguration of the Ayush Health & Wellness Centers. He said that people of Haryana will benefit from this initiative and awareness of Ayurvedic medicines & techniques among common man will increase manifold.
Hon’ble Prime Minister also recalled “Fit India Campaign” which was recently launched. He stressed on importance of fitness & role of Ayurveda in achieving the same by the common man. Sh. Ratan Lal Kataria, MP Ambala, Sh. G.C Gupta, MLA, Panchkula, Smt. Latika Sharma, MLA Panchkula were present during the inaugural programme. Smt. Keshni Anand, IAS, Chief Secretary Haryana, Sh. Pu K.Lalrinliana, Minister of State, Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) launched the Electronic Point of Sales (ePoS) device at the Government’s Fair Price Shop (FPS), Zonuam, Aizawl. The same facility is expected to be installed in all the 149 FPS throughout Aizawl in this month. In addition, 1270 FPS in other parts of Mizoram are expected to be provided with ePoS as soon as possible. With this implementation, Mizoram has joined other states in the drive for ‘End to End Computerisation of Targeted PDS Operation’, a joint initiative of Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution and National Informatics Centre (NIC).
In his inaugural address, the Minister gave his assurance to the beneficiaries that this machine is a simple device that can be easily operated by users. Highlighting the importance of digitization of FPS, he said, “Rather than complicating the process of Public Distribution System (PDS) in FPS, this scheme is meant to ensure the real beneficiary get his exact quota of ration every time, to ensure transparency in the PDS, to reduce wastage and to contain unfair disposal of the surpluses which frequently cost the government, heavily”.
In addition, he reminded all the beneficiaries on the necessity of linking their Aadhaar and their Ration card in order to benefit through the PDS scheme, post the implementation of ePoS at FPS. The reports on administrative and technical functioning areas was given by Pu Robert C. Lalhmangaiha, Deputy Director, FCS&CA and PU Lallawmkima, Scientist -B, NIC-Mizoram, respectively. Live demonstration of FPS Automation/Operation of ePoS Machines was given in the august presence of Pu Zothantluanga, MLA,15-Aizawl West-I Constituency, Pu HL Rochungnunga, Commission & Secretary, FCS&CA, along with the staff officers from directorate and the districts who were also attending the function

Hon’ble Governor Shri Satya Pal Malik (Chairman of the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board) on Wednesday, 28th August 2019, appreciated the coordinated efforts made by the NIC J&K team for the smooth conduct of this year’s Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra.
On this occasion, Hon’ble Governor felicitated NIC officers, Shri Abhay Kumar, SIO, J&K, Baiju Ubbott, Scientist ‘D’ and Sideshwar Bhagat, Scientist ‘B’ for developing an online application for registration of Yatris, scanning and tracking of permits using QR Code, during Shri Amarnathji Yatra 2019.
Besides registration, Yatris were provided online facility for making payment after going through a series of authentication processes, thereby enabling them to download their Yatra Permit with QR code. This permit is being scanned at various gates from Jammu to the Holy cave by J&K Police and CRPF personnel. This has enabled the Shrine Board administration to track the movement of Yatris along the Yatra route using web interface.

Sivasagar attained the status of being the first District in Assam to launch “e-office”.
E-office is a Mission Mode Project, developed and designed by National Informatics Centre (NIC).
The Upper Assam Divisional Commissioner Smt Julie Sonowal formally launched the e-office (e-file management system) at the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Sivasagar on August 31, 2019. She congratulated the district administration for the initiative in taking this giant step forward towards paperless system. “With the office of the Deputy Commissioner transitioning towards a complete electronic file management system, four more offices of the district, namely, office of the Superintendent of Police, office of the District Transport Officer, Agriculture office and Zila Parishad will also come under the e-office system”, she informed.
The Deputy Commissioner Dr S Lakshmanan said, “With the benefit of having zero maintenance cost, the system will not only provide full confidentiality of office files, but will also save us from the worries of space management”.
The occasion was also attended by Superintendent of Police Shri Amitava Sinha along with the officials and staff of the district administration, and has been reported in leading local newspapers such as the Assam Tribune and The Sentinel.
