PM-KISAN
Ensuring Social Security for Small and Marginal Farmers (SMFs)
PM-KISAN is an IT solution for PAN India implementation of Pradhan Mantri KIsan SAmman Nidhi scheme (PM-KISAN. The portal provides an end-to-end technology solution to transfer funds directly into the accounts of farmers under PM-KISAN Scheme, a Central Sector Scheme of Government of India to augment the income of all the land holding farmers of the country.
It is being implemented by Department of Agriculture &Farmers Welfare through the Department of Agriculture of all the States and Union Territories Governments. Financial benefit of Rs 6000 per year is transferred into the accounts of farmer’s families across the country in 3 equal instalments in each quadrimester through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode. The solution has also provided base for creation of farmers’ database in the process.

Process Flow of PM-KISAN
- Rejected Data at different stages are sent back to States/ UTs for correction
- Farmer/CSC registers on PM KISAN portal /mobile app and state validates farmer’s eligibility
- State uploads farmer details on PM KISAN portal after eligibility verification
- PM KISAN portal validates the records for Aadhaar, Income Tax Payee and Pensioners and mark them as ineligible
- List sent back to states for final approval
- Fund Transfer Order (FTO) generated against Signed RFTs are sent to PFMS for sanction generation
- Payment is processed through Sponsor banks and NPCI. The beneficiary list is made available on the portal
- Accepted data is sent to PFMS for account number and type validation
- Eligible records available for generation of Request for Fund Transfer (RFT)
- Creation of sanction orders by DA&FW for approved FTOS. FTO list transferre
PM-KISAN Mobile App
PM-KISAN mobile app was launched on 24th February 2020 by Hon’ble Minister of Agriculture. This has been developed with an emphasis on greater transparency and to reach more farmers. The PM-KISAN mobile app servers a simple and efficient extension to the PM-KISAN web portal.
