eHospital
To enhance the healthcare delivery of patient centric services across the country, NIC has developed eHospital, e-BloodBank, and Online Registration System (ORS) and extended application software related technical support.
The eHospital is a web-based, workflow-driven application that functions as a Health Information Management System (HMIS) and can be easily customized with multi-tenancy support. It is an open-source application hosted on NIC’s National Cloud MeghRaj, utilizing a decentralized multi-instance architecture. Presently, more than 1000 health facilities across the country use eHospital, which is also compliant with Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) regulations.

- The e-Hospital application is the Hospital Management Information System (HMIS) for internal processes and workflows of hospitals, for digitization of for all types of hospitals various functions suited.
- Online Registration System (ORS) is the online patient portal for providing patient centric services like booking online appointment, accessing lab reports, checking blood availability and online payment.
- The e-BloodBank application facilitates the implementation of a complete Blood Bank Management System for internal workflows of blood banks.
The e-Hospital initiative was launched with the following objectives
- To provide a one-stop solution that helps in connecting patients, hospitals, and doctors on a single
digital platform. - To establish an online patient portal for providing citizen-centric services such as online appointment
scheduling (ORS), access to lab reports, and information on blood availability (eBloodBank). - To provide specialized technical assistance to hospitals through a dedicated Call Centre/ Helpdesk.
Online Registration System
Online Registration System has an easy and simple appointment process. ORS is an ABDM Compliant, online interface where the patients can book online appointment with Aadhar or without Aadhar using his/her mobile number from the hospital based on their preference of location, department etc.
