NIC API eXchange (NAPIX) is the Centralized API Management Platform which aims to provide easy and seamless connectivity for various stakeholders including Government departments, Government undertaking and developers via APIs through a secure environment to facilitate integration and collaboration.

Objectives
- Establish a framework for government organizations to publish APIs for e-Governance applications and systems.
- Enable seamless and transparent software integration with other e-Governance applications and systems.
- Facilitate an ‘API-first’ approach.
- Empower secure and reliable sharing of information and data across e-Governance applications and systems.
- Expedite innovation through the availability of data from e-Governance applications and systems to the industry and citizens.
- Provide guidance to government organizations in developing and publishing APIs.
Scope – Functional / Geographical
- The platform securely integrates APIs of various domains on a centralized setup.
- The platform is integrated with the API Setu platform, and all the APIs are discoverable and searchable from API Setu.
- The portal serves as a store for authorized developers to discover and test government APIs (published on the platform) in a secure environment. Developers can build robust applications faster and easier using the NAPIX platform.
- The platform is implemented using a distributed and scalable architecture.
Key Stakeholders
- Publishers – Central Ministries, Central/State Government Departments/Organizations owning e-Governance APIs, e.g., eCourts, ICJS, Parivahan, LGD, Jeevan Pramaan.
- Subscribers – Government bodies/departments and other authorized partners as per the Governance Policy of API Owners/Publisher Departments.
